(LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT)REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONSTO PROVIDEPROFESSIONAL DESIGN SERVICESFORTHE CITY OF LANCASTER The City of Lancaster (“Owner”) is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified firms to provide Design Professional Services for the City Hall Renovations and Repairs Project.  Statements of Qualifications shall be accepted until 4:00 PM on December 17 ,2021 at the Office of the Service Safety Director, Lancaster City Hall, Room 102, 104 East Main Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.  Statements of Qualifications submitted after the above stated time and date may not be considered.  Accepted Statements of Qualifications will be opened and reviewed by the Owner’s Project Selection Team, which will rate each firm to determine the firm most qualified to provide the design services.  Owner reserves the right to interview any or all firms prior to making a final selection.  Upon the Selection Team’s determination, the Owner will begin contract

negotiations with that firm.  The decision of the Selection Committee is final and not subject to review.  The criteria for determining the most qualified Design Professional firm are stated in the REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (“RFQ”).  RFQ’s may be obtained from Lancaster Service Safety Director’s Office, City Hall Room 102, 104 East Main Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130[insert name, address, and phone number of entity distributing the drawings].  Hard copies may be purchased for a $25.00 non-refundable fee from the aforesaid office, or interested firms may request a RFQ in pdf format from  document.write('servicedirector'+'@'+'ci.lancaster.oh.us')For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. at no cost; these requests should bear “Request for RFQ-Design Professional” in the subject line of the communication.The Owner anticipates that the Design Professional will assist with planning and developing the program for the Project and participate in or lead meetings with the Owner’s Board and staff and to the extent feasible, incorporate their input into the conceptual plans and design for the Project.  The Owner also anticipates that the Architect will assist with assessment of the Project site, assist with scheduling, evaluate potential operating costs, review reports related to and advise on site testing and development, in addition to performing design and contract administration duties. The Design Professional’s scope will include design and construction administration services.Each firm submitting a SOQs must register with the Owner to receive any issued updates or Addenda.  Failure to register may deem that firm’s SOQ as non-responsive.SOQ’s shall comply with standards set forth in the RFQ.Each firm must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.  Each firm must comply with the pertinent sections of the Ohio Revised Code pertaining to contracting services with municipal governments. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all SOQ’s.Direct questions about the Project to Paul D.
