As modern agriculture in Iowa has changed and grown, and concerns surrounding a global animal health incident have increased, it is critical to ensure Iowa producers are informed regarding current state processes to deal with a foreign animal disease (FAD) outbreak. In 2019 to work towards this the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) held a series of workshops in six Iowa counties: Carroll, Chickasaw, Sioux, Story, Wapello, and Washington. The agenda is included as Attachment #1.
Moving forward IDALS is going to continue this series, hosting workshops in counties where a workshop was not previously held as well as holding one workshop for local emergency response
