00 11 13 1 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids for the construction of the Rod Library VAV Box Replacement Phase 1 Project at the University of Northern Iowa will be received electronically through www.bidexpress.com by the Board of Regents, State of Iowa at the Office of Finance and Operations, 2401 Wisconsin Street, Lang Hall Room 122, University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa 50614-0003 until 2:00 p.m. local Iowa time, on June 15, 2023, and will then be publicly opened and read aloud through a Zoom Meeting. The link to join this meeting is fm.uni.edu/bid-information. The project consists of but is not limited to: Replace 46 existing boxes and lined ductwork with new VAV boxes on the first and second floor of the library. Bids will be received for a stipulated sum contract. Iowa Construction Sales Tax Exemption Certificates will be provided on this project. Bidding Documents may be obtained from Rapids

No deposit will be required, but all bidders are asked to return their Bidding Documents within fifteen (15) days after opening of bids. Each bid shall be submitted electronically through the documents provided at www.bidexpress.com with an uploaded copy of the bid security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after the date of opening. This project has a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses. The participation goal of 10% is specified in the Special Conditions.
