Building, silo, ramps and debris located at Jubilee Road, Minto Project Description :OTHER CONSTRUCTION SERVICES Invitation to Tender The building, silo, ramps and debris located at Jubilee Road, Minto, NB is to be demolished and removed from the site subject to the following conditions. - The building's (Eastland Group of Companies) 41 Industrial Park Road / Jubilee Road, Minto, NB, PID 45029139 & 45150802 is to be demolished down to the top of the foundation. - There is a metal silo / sawdust collector bin on the property. This is to be demolished down to the top of the foundation and the silo and all contents are to be removed from the site. - The solid concrete foundations are to be left undisturbed. However, all anchor bolts and metal secured or embedded into the concrete are to be cut flush with the concrete foundation and removed from the site. - The buildings may be composed of various materials such as metal framing, wood structural components and concrete block walls. All
buildings are to be demolished and removed from the site. - There is a separate structure made of concrete block walls it is to be demolished and removed from the site down to the top of the solid concrete foundation. - There are loading ramps that are to be demolished and removed from the property. - The material is to be removed from the site and deposited into a licensed C & D dump site and copies of receipts from each load deposited there are to be forwarded to the Village Clerk prior to payment of the tender contract. - All bushes found growing on the property surrounding the building are to be removed from the site. - There are a several pallets and large quantities of chemicals, paints, stains and glues located throughout the property. These materials are to be safely removed and taken to the Fredericton Solid Waste facility located at Wilsey Road for proper disposal or recycling. Copies of load slips from Solid Waste Commission are to be submitted to the Clerk prior to payment. - There is some junk in and around the buildings, partially demolished building material, large quantities of wood sawdust and chips, insulation, etc., all this material is to be removed from the site. - Any sewage piping and / or water main pipes are to be capped off and sealed to the satisfaction of the Village of Minto or their appointed representative, (public works foreman). No pipes are to be left protruding above grade, all sealing and capping when finished is to be below grade. - Any trenches or holes left in the slab or site after the demolition and removal of all materials are to be filled and compacted with a granular type of material gravel, shale but not sand. - Any and all electrical wires are to be disconnected from the building and removed back to the main power pole line at the street, in consultation with NBPower. Any costs for this work is to be included as part of the tender amount. - A permit to demolish the above mentioned building is to be applied for and received from Regional Service Commission11, Planning and Development Branch and a copy is to be forwarded to the Village Clerk prior to start of the work. - The contractor / person awarded the contract is to provide proof of Workers Compensation coverage and $1,000,000.00 liability insurance to save the Village harmless from any accidents resulting from the demolition of the above noted building prior to the start of work and no later than within 4 days after being awarded the tender. - The site is to be kept secure from the public during the demolition and cleanup operations, until the site cleanup is complete. - Measures are to be taken to limit dust and debris from spreading to adjacent properties. Any debris spread to an adjacent property is to be cleaned up immediately. - The site is to be swept clean of all glass and debris down to the concrete slab and grade level when demolition and material removal is complete. - The "Public Streets, Industrial Park Drive and Jubilee Road" are not to be blocked or the traveling public unduly disrupted during the demolition and cleanup. - At the discretion of the contractor awarded the contract, large metal beams, etc. may be deposited with a metal recycler instead of taken to a licensed C & D dump site. - The successful bidder is to have the building demolished, and the site cleaned up, before February 11, 2023. - Tenders will be accepted at the Village of Minto Municipal office until Monday January 6 at 2 pm. The address is: 420 Pleasant Drive Minto, NB E3B 2T3 - Tenders are to be in a sealed envelope stating the company bidding and be addressed to the Attention of Assistant Clerk Donna Yates, 41 Industrial Park Drive Tender. - Tender prices are to remain valid for 21 days after the tender closing unless awarded earlier. - Tenders are to be for the full amount of the contract. There will not be any adjustments for fuel price increase or decrease in this tender. - Bidders are to take into consideration the possibility of snow being on the ground and cold weather being in effect by the time the tender is awarded. - Should there be enough snow on the ground to prevent Village or CRSC staff from making a determination that all materials have been satisfactorily cleaned up from the site, 10% of the bid will be held back until the snow has completely melted in the spring. This is a tender notice only. In order to submit a bid, you must obtain official tender documents from the New Brunswick Opportunities Network, another authorized tendering service or as indicated in the tender notice.
