This proposed action isfor the acquisition of Haworth Compose Panel Systems Furniture. The Government intends to solicit andnegotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13-106-1(b)(1) resulting in a firm fixed pricecontract.This proposed procurement will be a Sole Source under North American Industry Classification SystemCode (NAICS) 337214 – Office Furniture (except wood) manufacturing. Small Business Size standard is1,000 employees. Product Service Code (PSC) 7110 – Office Furniture.The proposed source is Elements IV, 3680 Wyse Rd. Dayton, OH 45414. This notice of intent is not arequest for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement,proposal, quotation or exception to the intent to purchase on a sole source basis,

which shall beconsidered by the Government if received within five (5) business days of this notice. Informationreceived will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct acompetitive procurement.In order to comply with FAR 5.207(c)(15), the reason for lack of competition is as follows: Elements IV,a Haworth Dealership is the only source to provide the Haworth Compose Panel Systems Furniture thatwas awarded previously for Building 11A.The Department of Defense (DoD) has determined the System for Award Management (SAM) to be thesingle DoD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conductingbusiness with the DoD.
