Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Assessment Project Description :The City of Fort Saskatchewan (the “City”) invites proposals from qualified consultants to provide consulting services for a comprehensive third-party review of the City’s ERP systems. This assessment is intended to identify existing gaps between existing functionality and the City’s needs to ensure: Effective and efficient use of the City’s resources; Timely and accurate payment to vendors and employees, and collection from customers and residents; Accurate, effective, efficient, and timely financial reporting; and Necessary financial information is available to support business decisions; A positive and intuitive user experience; and Minimal functional redundancy. The assessment is expected to make recommendations for short-term improvements to existing systems, identifying high impact opportunities that require a low level of effort. The assessment should also make recommendations for a long-term strategy regarding ERP lifecycle, renewal, or replacement to support the development of an ERP asset management plan. The successful proponent will issue a report summarizing: ERP functionality requirements Gaps between requirements and existing implementations or software capabilities Recommendations for improvements ranked based on the estimated benefit received and relative to effort required. Estimates for benefits and effort should include expected budgetary impacts, as well as other quantitative and qualitative impacts to the City.
