The scope of work is indicated on Drawing G1.1 and the Roof Plan drawing(s).1. Additional Scope:a. The contractor shall provide, as a part of his contract, a designated person who will bestationed inside the post office, directly beneath the area of work, for the duration of saidwork, with the sole purpose of collecting or cleaning up any debris which may fall from theexisting ceiling interior as a result of the work being done above. The contractor shallprovide and install removable covers for protection for all equipment and materials insidethe post office during the roofing work. Covers are to be suspended from supports or theroof structure above all postal equipment. Postal employees must be allowed to workunder the covers so as to not impede postal operations in any way. In areas exposed tostructure and other interior areas likely to experience dust and/or debris falling, install 6mil. anti-static poly sheeting attached to overhead structure, do not drape over equipment.To the
extent possible, Contractor is to inspect interior side of roof deck and determineany items that are attached to or in close proximity to deck. Contractor shall take actionas required to avoid damage to such items.b. The contractor is to remove any/all water damaged interior ceiling material (acoustical tile,gypsum board, plaster), and provide new material to match existing conditions in allrooms/areas below the roof area being replaced under the scope of work. Color of newmaterial or paint to match existing conditions. Where painting is required, apply one coatof latex interior primer and two coats of latex interior finish paint. Sheen to match existingconditions. Contractor to verify all quantities of ceiling replacement work required prior tobidding.C. All work shall be in accordance with applicable codes and local regulations that may apply. Incase of conflict in or between the Contract Documents and a governing code or ordinance, themore stringent standard shall apply.1.3 MISCELLANEOUS CONTRACT EXPENSESA. In accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract provisions and clauses, including thoseconcerning Permits and Responsibilities and, Building Codes, Fees and Charges, the Contractor mustinclude in its price proposal a separate line item for the cost each of the of the following fees orcharges payable to State, local, or special community development agencies:Off-site inspection feesEnvironmental Permits/RegistrationsOther permits or feesB. If the actual cost of any item identified above is more or less than the amount listed, the contractprice will be adjusted accordingly by a contract modification. The adjustment will not includeoverhead and profit. The Contractor must, within 30 days after incurring the expenses, inform the011000 Attachment A – Page 2POSTAL SERVICEUSPS Date: 10/1/2015 FURNISHED EQUIPMENTContracting Officer that the payment has been made. Evidence of the actual amount paid mustbe provided. The contract amount will be adjusted upward or downward as necessary toaccommodate actual charges from the utilities. The Contractor must provide all coordination withthe utilities in accomplishing their work and must make all payments to the utilities for their work.C. The Contractor must include all additional fees, as required, in the price proposal.
