CARSON CITY PURCHASING AND CONTRACTS Notice regarding BID No. 23300240 (PWP-CC-2023-087) Carson City solicited bids for the Carson City Public Safety Communications Center UPS Replacement Project. Bid were required to be submitted in accordance with the bid documents, drawings and plans, specifications, and special conditions. The deadline for bid proposals was November 15, 2022, at 11:00am, at which time, no proposals were received. As a result, the City is prepared to award a contract directly, without competitive bidding. NRS 338.1385 provides authority to award a contract without competitive bidding if no bids are received in response to advertisement for bids in certain circumstances. NRS 388.1385(7) provides: 7. A public body may let a contract without competitive bidding if no bids were received in response to an advertisement for bids and: (a) The public body publishes a notice stating that no bids were received and that the contract may be let without further bidding; (b) The

public body considers any bid submitted in response to the notice published pursuant to paragraph (a); (c) The public body lets the contract not less than 7 days after publishing a notice pursuant to paragraph (a); and (d) The contract is awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Carson City hereby provides such notice and will award the contract for this project to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to submit on or before December 7, 2022, no later than 2:00 pm. If no such bid is received, Carson City may make a direct award without further notice. Summary: Carson City is accepting bids for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the Communications Center UPS Replacement Project. The project consists of architectural demolition of existing walls, doors, and ceilings; demolition of existing rooftop HVAC unit, installation of contractor furnished HVAC; demolition of existing plumbing systems; demolition of existing UPS units, bypass switches, above ground raceway systems; installation of City furnished UPS units and contractor furnished accessories and panelboards. The project also includes completion of electrical systems testing, commissioning, and an overcurrent protective device coordination study. Sealed bids must be submitted in accordance with the bid documents, drawings and plans, specifications and special conditions related hereto. Note: Project plans are not included. The "Carson City Restricted Document End User Agreement" located under the "Attachments" tab must be completed and submitted for review and approval prior to release of the plans.
