The District’s Board of Port Commissioners (Board) regularly meets monthly to establish District policies under which District staff – supervised by the President and Chief Executive Officer – conducts its daily operations. Items of policy are presented to the Board in an agenda at Board meetings and require the members of the Board (Commissioners) to vote in favor or against passage of its items. 2. As of 2014, the District has used the Granicus’ systems (‘Legistar’, ‘iLegislate’, ‘Live Manager’, and Media Manager’) for agenda preparation, agenda distribution, meeting management, minute publication and distribution and to live stream meetings. The ‘Legistar’ application is used for agenda creation and approval sequencing. The ‘iLegislate’ application is used to review published staff reports on the agenda and make annotations/notes. The ‘Live Manager’ system is used to manage meeting actions like motions, speakers, and voting. The ‘Media Manager’ application is used to manage iLegislate uses and for video archiving.
