Replace all floor drain & roof drain piping as well as connected vent piping from 3rd floor roof penetrations down to finished floor elevation on 1st floor. The existing piping is a mixture of cast iron and schedule 40 PVC. Replace with equivalent nominal diameter gray Schedule 80 PVC pipe following existing plan and profile layout as shown on As-Builts. Minor variations in layout are subject to approval by Project Manager.
Follow floor/wall penetration details on sheet M-18 to ensure no water intrusion between floors.
Replace all accessible floor drain covers with Watts Cast Iron, Round, Floor drain or equivalent industrial grade.
The 1983 As-builts are attached and a good faith effort has been made to highlight all piping to be replaced with yellow. Existing piping not shown on As-builts that shall be replaced is drawn with a red line and highlighted with yellow.
The large diameter Filtrate Piping that collects drainage from under each Belt Filter Press on the 3rd floor is not part of this project.
This project does not require a building permit or any engineering work.
This is a 24-hour operation and work hours will not be restricted. Journeyman plumber licensed worker is required to be onsite at all times to supervise work.
