Solicitation Name : ASL Interpreters DAS Perspectives Series Oct & Nov Solicitation ID : SRC0000005518 Summary : ADA REQUEST: Two ASL interpreters needed for two upcoming in-person events hosted by the Directors Office for DAS Perspective Series. Suppliers can bid on any date(s) and time(s) with confirmed availability (i.e., 1 date, both of them). Each bid must include an hourly rate per interpreter (no group rates). Selected supplier(s) lowest priced who can confirm interpreter availability as requested and would not require splitting into two separate PO per date. There are two (2) event dates available (below). Events are scheduled IN-PERSON at 30 E. Broad St., Lobby Hearing Room, Columbus, 43215. Interpreters are expected to be onsite 15-minutes in advance. Additionally, anticipate 15-minutes post-event for Q&A (may not be necessary). Requested time for each interpreter: 1.25 hours. Number of speakers for each event is TBD, however similar past events have included no more than

four (4) on a panel answering scripted questions from a moderator and unscripted questions from the audience. Request is for two interpreters per event due to the volume, pace and unscripted nature of the conversation. Tuesday Oct. 25, 2022, 12 to 12:45 p.m. (0.75 event + .25 pre-event + .25 post-event = 1.25 hours scheduled service) Tuesday Nov. 15, 2022, 12 to 12:45 p.m. (0.75 event + .25 pre-event + .25 post-event = 1.25 hours scheduled service) ($00.00 x 1.25/hours of service x 2 interpreters x 2 days = $00.00) Interpretation needs are varied for these events, including lecture and Q&A with program participants. The events will be hosted IN-PERSON and livestreamed to an online audience. Other necessary logistical details will be shared with the successful bidder(s) to help you prepare for the event. In your bid response, please be sure to address the pricing structure identified (i.e., hourly rate per interpreter, etc.), but also your ability to do the following: Interpret at a high register to accommodate master degree level participants Be able to clearly and effectively interpret complex terms (i.e., definitions and legal compliance language) related to the Americans with Disabilities Act Be able to confirm availability to provide the requested number of interpreters Be able to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the event Process : The State of Ohio - Department of Administrative Services is requesting quotes for two (2) ASL interpreters needed for two upcoming in-person events hosted by the Directors Office for DAS Perspective Series.Selection will be based on the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
