2022 Stowell Road Bridge Rehabilitation Project

Sealed bids for the construction of the 2022 Stowell Road Bridge Improvements will be received at this location until 10:00 a.m., Prevailing Time on September 27, 2022. Bids submitted after this time will not be accepted. Bid results will be available after the bid opening. The contract will be awarded based on the BEST PERCEIVED VALUE, AS DETERMINED BY THE OWNER. The acting representative of the OWNER for the receipt of bids is Mr. Bryan Gazda, Town Manager The scope of the project is as follows: This project includes the rehabilitation of the concrete abutments, bridge deck, wingwalls, and replacement of the bridge guard rails and roadway guardrails for the laminated wood bridge on Stowell Road. Copies of the Bid Documents in electronic pdf form may be obtained at no charge by contacting the Project Manager, Bryan Ruoff of Stantec Consulting Services Inc., at bryan.ruoff@stantec.com Upon the Bidder contacting Stantec, he/she will be provided with a link to a Stantec FTP site where the Bid Documents can be downloaded. *Hard copies of the plans will not be provided by the Town or Stantec. As a Bid security, ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid subject to the conditions provided for in the Instructions to Bidders. The security shall be in the form of a certified check drawn upon a bank within the State of Vermont, or a Bid bond executed by the BIDDER and a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Vermont, made payable to the OWNER as named above. The successful BIDDER must furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and a separate one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within five (5) days following notification of the acceptance of his bid. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid, to waive any informality on bids received, or to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the best interests of the OWNER. No BIDDER may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
