Aug 16, 2018 4:08 am The Global Health Security Advisor will be working under the supervision of the USAID/Tanzania Health Systems Strengthening Team Lead and will be responsible for overseeing a complex, multi-sectoral portfolio, providing leadership and technical support to the full range of GHS investments in Tanzania, including preparedness, prevention, detection, and response for prioritized infectious diseases of public health concern.

The incumbent will serve as a technical resource to the USAID mission in Tanzania, including the health, economic growth and environment teams, as well as the USG interagency team supporting GHS. S/He will be responsible for working closely with Washington-based technical advisors and Agreement Officer's Representatives (AORs) and the Nairobi-based east and central Africa regional coordinator, to ensure coordination across all GHS investments and to ensure that program activities and objectives are aligned with the priorities of the USG and Tanzanian government.
