The Town of The Blue Mountains is planning to enhance their service delivery by
incorporating a new Financial Software System. The solution must be a Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud-based service. The proposed solution shall be used across the organization and shall be scalable to meet future needs. It is expected that the solution will:Offer a modular approach with the ability to implement further functionality as required;Reduce/replace various disconnected and siloed data systems, improve communication and shared data across the organization;Automate manual processes and activities, reduce redundancies and duplication of data entry through integration and tailored workflows & approvals, including personalized email alerts;Enhance management capability to lead the Town, based on timely, reliable, and valuable information;Have an open API and 3 rd party provider support for integrations e.g., Cityview, Cityworks, Ceridian HCM;Contain online training available to all members of the Town’s staff (any additional costs for training should be detailed in the price module);Include a comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategy;Leverage out-of-the-box functionality to minimize customization.The Town is interested in securing a solution that addresses the following capabilities, at a minimum, of a Financial System:General LedgerAccounts PayablePurchasingAccounts ReceivableCash ReceiptingProperty TaxUtilitiesCitizen Portal (Access by citizenry to their AR, Property Taxes, Utility Billing accounts for inquiry and payment)Financial ReportingBudgetingThe Town of The Blue Mountains is Canada’s second fastest growing municipality and serves as home to over 9,300 full-time residents, with an extensive part-time and seasonal population.
