Page 2 of 28 LEGAL NOTICE The Board of County Commissioners of Wayne County, Ohio, will accept sealed bids on or before 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, for: Roadside Mowing Services for the Wayne County Engineer. The purpose of this Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals process is to possibly enter into a single contract for roadside mowing services required by the Wayne County Engineer. The mowing services will cover 500 centerline miles of roadway with approximately 610 lane miles (approximately 875 acres) requiring mowing. Any bid not received by the Board of County Commissioners’ Office located at Wayne County Administration Building, 428 West Liberty Street, Wooster, Ohio 44691 at or before the deadline will be disqualified. Copies of the Invitation to Bid, which includes the contract terms and specifications, may be obtained from the Wayne County Engineer’s Office, located at 3151 West Old Lincoln Way, Wooster, Ohio 44691 or by sending a written request,

via email, to Ryan Marthey, P.E., Drainage/Highway Engineer, at rpm@wayne-county-engineer.com. All questions must be submitted in writing, via email, to the individual named above. Bidders are responsible for ensuring that all emails are sent and received. Bidders shall submit one (1) original and one (1) copy of their Bid Proposal in a sealed envelope that is clearly marked with the project name. The outside of the sealed envelope shall also include the name and address of the bidder. If a bid proposal is submitted by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid proposal must be enclosed in an outer envelope addressed to the Board and designated as a bid for the project. Bids submitted before the deadline will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Meeting Room on the Upper Level of the Wayne County Administration Building, 428 West Liberty Street, Wooster, Ohio 44691, shortly after the deadline. Bidders are asked to send a maximum of one (1) representative per bidder to the bid opening. The bid opening will also be available via Zoom to individuals who register at https://www.wayneohio.org/wayne-county-commissioners-public-meeting-details. This Legal Notice is posted on the Board’s website and may be accessed at the following internet address: http://www.wayneohio.org/more/commissioners/legal-notices The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all irregularities and/or defects, and to accept the bid(s) deemed most beneficial to Wayne County. Until any contract(s) resulting from this Invitation to Bid is/are fully executed by all parties, including, but not limited to, the time between the adoption of any resolution(s) awarding and/or approving any contract(s) and full execution of said contract(s), this Reservation of Rights shall remain in effect.
