This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to notify potential offerors that Lajes Field, Terceira, Azores, Portugal intends to solicit proposals and award a single award firm fixed price contract using FAR Parts 13 and 15.This synopsis is for a solicitation for the following:The contractor shall provide all plant labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision and personnel necessary Replace APS Air Freight Terminal Roll-Up Doors, T-709.The NAICS Code for this procurement is 332321.The anticipated solicitation, FA448621R0005, release date on or about 14 June 2021. The closing date, time for submission of offers, as well as the date and time for pre-proposal conference will be contained in the solicitation package. Solicitation documents will be posted on the Government Point of Entry located at the System for Award Management (SAM) web site. Potential offerors are responsible for
monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. All contractors MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) or their proposal will not be considered. In accordance with (IAW), FAR 52.236-7 (modified IAW AFFARS 5336.507), "Permits and Responsibilities" - The Contractor shall, without additional expense to the Government, be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits, and for complying with any host government and political subdivisions laws, codes, and regulations applicable to the performance of the work. Also, IAW DFARS 252.225-7042, "Authorization to Perform" - The Offeror has been duly authorized to operate and to do business in the country or countries in which the contract is to be performed.
