The Walton County Board of County Commissioners (the "County") will receive bids for a Landfill Outbound Truck Sacle. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. Furnish and install one “legal for trade” 70 x 11 foot full concrete deck truck scale that is fully electronic in design and shall not incorporate any mechanical weighing elements, check rods, or check stays. Include freight, crane, installation, time and mileage. 2. Construct the concrete foundations, level approaches, and ramping to grade in accordance with scale manufacturer’s requirements. The scale will be installed adjacent to the Scale House on the existing asphalt surface. 3.Installation of scale operating systems and all associated equipment, wiring and appurtenances as required by the scale manufacturer. This scale system will be fully compatible with the existing Mettler Toledo inbound scale and compatible with and connected to the existing Waste Works system used at

the Walton County Landfill, to include all supervision, labor, materials, and related appurtenances as required to successfully complete the proposed project. ITB DEADLINE:  July 19, 2021 no later than 10:00AM local time and will open immediately thereafter. Last day to submit questions in writing is July 8, 2021 no later than 12:00Noon local time.  Questions received after said date and time will not be answered. DIRECTING QUESTIONS TO ANY OTHER COUNTY STAFF, PROJECT ENGINEER, OR ANY OTHER PERSON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN BID BEING DISQUALIFIED. OUR AREA IS NOT A DESIGNATED OVERNIGHT FEDEX DELIVERY.  OUR OFFICE IS CLOSED ON ALL FRIDAYS.  OUR OFFICE WILL ALSO BE CLOSED ON JULY 5, 2021 IN OBSERVANCE OF MEMORIAL DAY.  IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER TO ENSURE THEIR BID PACKAGE IS DELIVERED ON TIME AND TO THE CORRECT DESIGNATED PLACE. Bids received after the deadline date, either by mail, or otherwise will not no considered and returned unopened.  The time of receipt will be determined by the time received in the Purchasing Agent's Office.  No faxed, electronic or oral bids will be accepted. To be considered, Bidders must submit bid digitally on a USB Thumb Drive, along with one original paper copy in a sealed envelope with the Bidders name, bid number and title of bid "LANDFILL OUTBOUND TRUCK SCALE" addressed to the Office of Central Purchasing, 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, F l  32435
