City AttorneyCity of Neenah, WIThe City of Neenah is seeking a full time City Attorney. The City of Neenah provides amazing job opportunities with a collaborative work environment where you are able to contribute to your community. The purpose of this position is to provide legal services for City employment matters, litigation, contracts, legislation, claims, and oversee prosecution of municipal violations, and advise City officials and employees acting on behalf of the City. The City Attorney also supervises the operations of the City Clerk’s office. The City Attorney is appointed by the Common Council to an indefinite term. The work is performed under the direction and supervision of the Mayor and Common Council.Responsibilities:Negotiates labor contracts with City represented employees Advises Mayor, alderpersons, City officials; department heads; duly constituted board, committees and commissions; and employees acting on behalf of the City.Supervises the operations of the City
Clerk’s office.Drafts legal opinions, City ordinances, resolutions, contracts and agreementsActs as parliamentarian at Common Council meetings. Salaries above the midpoint of $110,835 require Council approval.Affordable health and dental insurance with access to a free employee health and wellness clinic.Automatic enrollment in the state's Wisconsin Retirement System as well as options to participate in HRA or flexible spending accounts.Schedule: This is a full-time position with occasional evening meetings and early start times.
