Google Map D Description REQUEST FOR BIDS TO PERFORM SUBCONTRACTOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES Tilden-Coil Constructors is requesting subcontractor proposals with a SEPARATE price for each project listed below: The Lindsey Academy HVAC Upgrade Project The Barton Elementary School HVAC Upgrade Project These are Lease-Leaseback projects for Long Beach USD consisting of the installation of an HVAC System in classrooms, offices and support spaces including, but not limited to: upgrades of utility service, accessibility, technology, interior/exterior finishes,

lighting and electrical; and tactile signage per the bid specifications. Tilden-Coil Constructors is the awarded Lease-Leaseback General Contractor for these projects. Del Amo Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90807. The following trades are strongly encouraged to attend: demo, framing, drywall, plumbing and HVAC Conference #1 - 8:00 am on April 17, 2018 Conference #2 – 8:00 am on April 19, 2018 Requests for Information (RFI’s): Requests for information for both projects are due by 2:00 pm April 23, 2018. Bidders are required to indicate the project name in the title of your request submission. Prequalification: Per PCC 20111.6, if not already prequalified, all MEP subcontractors are required to be prequalified with Long Beach USD and must submit a prequalification questionnaire with QualityBidders.com ten (10) days prior to the bid opening. Bids will not be accepted from a Subcontractor holding an MEP, Solar or Sheet Metal License: C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 that has not been prequalified where prequalification is required. The Current list of LBUSD Prequalified contractors can be obtained by visiting: http://lbschoolbonds.net/contractor-prequalification.cfm Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP): This project is subject to an Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP). Subcontractors of all tiers must have an EMR of 1.24 or less at the time of enrollment. Skilled and Trained Workforce: Respondents are advised that this project must conform to the revisions of the California Education Code Section 17407.5, mandated by AB 418. As such, all subcontractors, are required to provide a "Skilled and Trained Workforce". DIR Registration: This Project is a public works project as defined in Labor Code section 1720. All subcontractors (of any tier) bidding on this Project or performing any portion of the Work must comply with the Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 and must be properly and currently registered with DIR and qualified to perform public works pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 throughout the duration of the Project. For more information and up to date requirements, contractors are recommended to periodically review the DIR’s website at www.dir.ca.gov. All subcontractors (of any tier) shall be responsible for ensuring compliance with Labor Code section 1725.5 as well as any requirements implemented by DIR applicable to its services or its subcontractors throughout the term of the Agreement and in no event shall contractor be granted increased payment or any time extensions to complete the Project as a result of contractor’s efforts to maintain compliance with the Labor Code or any requirements implemented by the DIR. Failure to comply with these requirements shall be deemed a material breach of Agreement and grounds for termination for cause. All subcontractors (of any tier) shall furnish certified payroll records as required pursuant Labor Code section 1776 directly to the Labor Commissioner in accordance with Labor Code section 1771.4 on at least on a monthly basis (or more frequently if required by Tilden-Coil Constructors or the Labor Commissioner) and in a format prescribed by the Labor Commissioner. Tilden-Coil Constructors reserves the right to withhold contract payments if Tilden-Coil Constructors is notified, or determines as the result of its own investigation, that a Subcontractor is in violation of any of the requirements set forth in Labor Code section 1720 et seq. at no penalty or cost to Tilden-Coil Constructors or the District. Monitoring and enforcement of the prevailing wage laws and related requirements will be performed by the Labor Commissioner/ Department of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE).
