Page 1 of 5 ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO TERMINAL EXPANSION AIP 3-31-0045-036 (CARES) At KEARNEY REGIONAL AIRPORT (EAR) KEARNEY, NE Addendum Date: August 25,2022 To Prospective Bidders: The contract documents/specifications and plans for the above referenced project are hereby amended as follows: Specifications: Entry 1: Article 1 Contract Documents: Sheet NTB.3: Replace Table Footer Sentence “* Calendar days shown for Phases 1A,1B, 1C, and 1D shall be completed concurrently with the 187 Calendar Days of Phase 1. They are not in addition to.” in its entirety with sentence, “* Calendar days shown for Phases 1A,1B, 1C, and 1D shall be completed concurrently with the 224 Calendar Days of Phase 1. They are not in addition to.” This change accurately shows the correct number of calendar days in phase 1. Entry 2: Article 4 FAA General Contract Provision: Section 70-21 Insurance Requirements (Sheet GP-70.7): Replace Paragraph (v) Builder’s Risk Insurance in its entirety with the following paragraph:
Builder’s Risk Insurance – Contractor shall purchase and maintain property insurance upon the Work at the Site in the amount of the full replacement cost thereof. 1. This insurance shall: a. include the interests of Owner, Contractor, Subcontractors, Engineer and any other individuals or entities identified herein, and the officers, directors, partners, employees, agents and other consultants and subcontractors of any of them each of whom is deemed to have an insurable interest and shall be listed as an insured or additional insured; b. in addition to the individuals and entities specified, include as additional insureds, the following: 1) City of Kearney (Kearney, NE), Alfred Benesch & Company, Wilkins Architecture Design Planning, Morrissey Engineering Inc, Lange Structural Group; c. be written on a Builder's Risk "ail-risk" / Installation Floater, or open peril or special causes of loss policy form that shall at least include insurance for physical loss and damage to the Work, temporary buildings, false work, and materials and equipment in transit; d. include expenses incurred in the repair or replacement of any insured property (including but not limited to fees and charges of engineers and architects); e. cover materials and equipment stored at the Site or at another location that was agreed to in writing by Owner prior to being incorporated in the Work, provided that such materials and equipment have been included in an Application for Payment recommended by Engineer; f. allow for partial utilization of the Work by Owner; g. include testing and startup; and Page 2 of 5 h. be maintained in effect until final payment is made unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Owner, Contractor and Engineer with 30 days written notice to each other additional insured to whom a certificate of insurance has been issued. 2. Contractor shall be responsible for any deductible or self-insured retention. Two (2) additional horizontal and vertical control monuments may be required for construction of the Airside Inlet at Sta 1+25.00 if requested by the RPR. Entry 5: Article 5 Sheet B-105.1: Replace Payment Item “4” Sanitary Sewer, Directionally Bored – per linear foot” in its entirety with “4” Sanitary Sewer – per linear foot”. Entry 6: Article 6 City of Kearney Standard Construction Specifications Section 11: Replace the following line in Paragraph 11.30 A. “A test supplied by the Contractor from an approved laboratory, will be required for each type of excavation or borrow material encountered.” with “The City’s Testing Firm (Benesch) will perform density tests to verify acceptable moisture and compaction. The Contractor shall not include costs for these tests in their bid.” Entry 7: Appendix 2 Section 013000 – ADMINISTATIVE REQUIREMENTS – BUILDING ONLY, Section 3.2 Progress Meetings: Add Subsection 3.2.A.1 as follows for clarification of the frequency of Progress Meetings to be conducted by the Project Coordinator (General Contractor).: 3.2.A.1 Progress Meetings shall be conducted on a bi-weekly basis (every two weeks). Entry 8: Appendix 2 Section 233113 – METAL DUCTS AND ACCESSORIES, Section 2.1 Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with the specifications, add the following to the list of approved manufacturers. -Section 4.
