CFI Confocal Raman Spectrometer Project Description :The University of Alberta (the University) in Edmonton, Alberta, is the largest post-secondary institution in the province with student enrolment of approximately 40,000 full and part time students of which approximately 80% are undergraduate students and 20% are graduate students. The University offers over 200 undergraduate programs and over 500 graduate programs. The University employs an academic and support staff of approximately 14,500. The University of Alberta and Faculty of Science - Chemistry is inviting the submission of Proposals to supply a Confocal Raman Spectrometer. This equipment will be used for the investigation of iron-sulfur peptides and lipid membranes. The successful proponent will be expected to supply and install the equipment as well as provide on-site training.
