Notice of Intent to Sole Source:The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – West, JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX intends to award, on a Limiting Competition sole-source basis, a firm fixed priced (FFP) contract to AAALAC International for the Department of Defense Military Working Dog Veterinary Service. AAALAC accreditation authorizes the organization to form and maintain an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee providing oversight for all Military Working Dog research at JBSA Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. The sole-source contract will be awarded on or about 1 February 2023. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 541990 and Small Business Administration's size standard is $19,500,000.00.The proposed contract action for which the Government intends to solicit from and award to one source is in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1).
