Request for Proposal - Traffic Engineering Services - Intersection Reconfiguration Project Description :The Town of Mahone Bay is seeking proposals from qualified proponents for development of functional design options for reconfiguration of the intersection of Main Street and Edgewater Street. Located at the heart of downtown Mahone Bay, accommodating up to 10,000 vehicles per day, the three-way intersection of Edgewater Street and Main Street (also identified as the intersection of Provincial Highway 3 and Highway 325) is the community’s major intersection. Nearly all commercial traffic through Mahone Bay passes through this intersection, as do nearly all visitors and most local traffic. Several other local roads intersect Edgewater Street and Main Street in the vicinity of the intersection, which impact traffic flow, including Orchard Street, Parish Street and Clairmont Street. There are also a number of commercial operations in the area with parking lots – and in one case (Tim Hortons) a drive through lane – which impact traffic
