Notice Inviting Bids Bid Acceptance and Opening. The City of Tracy (“City”) will accept sealed bids for its Multi-Generational Recreation Center, CIP 78178 (“Project”), by or before Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., at the City Clerk’s Office, 2nd Floor, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, California, 95376. Bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter in Conference Room 203. Kavanagh Ave, Tracy, CA 95376. Work includes but is not limited to: Reimagined El Pescadero park and new construction of a 2-story multigenerational recreation center. Building includes 3-court gymnasium, indoor running track, multipurpose rooms, bouldering/climbing wall, offices for the city Parks and Recreation Dept. and a satellite Police Dept. Office. Park upgrades include replacement of a skate park and dog park,

new basketball court, updated parking lot with EV charging stations and new walking and biking trails. Accessibility upgrades and construction of an open-air entry pavilion and large public open lawn space. Time for Completion. The planned timeframe for work is between June 2024 and June 2026. Contract time to be seven hundred - thirty (730) calendar days. License. This Project requires a valid California contractor’s license for the following classification(s): Class A, General Engineering Contractor’s License. DIR Registration. Contractor must submit proof of DIR Registration with Bid Proposal. Contractor must have been pre-qualified by City to bid on project. Contract Documents. Bids are required for the entire project work and shall be made upon the Bid Forms in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the maximum Contract Price, and a warranty bond for 10% of the maximum Contract Price. Substitution of Securities. Substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments is permitted under Public Contract Code section 22300. Subcontractor List.
