The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) intends to negotiate a sole source award with with George Mason University, 4400 University Dr, Fairfax, VA 22030, UEI: EADLFP7Z72E5,Cage Code: 7X764, to award a Firm Fixed Price t contract for the procurement of technical expertise and support services necessary to perform protein expression and purification, enzyme assays, and bacterial growth inhibition assays in support of the Wound Infections Department (WID), Bacterial Diseases Branch. The WID conducts research to defeat combat-related wound infections. The estimated period of performance for this acquisition is one year with four one-year options for a total of five years.This announcement constitutes the only notice by the government; a written solicitation will not be issued. All sources that believe they are eligible to provide these items must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with
clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide the services outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered an affirmative response.THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. If no written responses are received by the date listed below, the contract will be awarded without further remark.
