This project is for a contractor to provide all labor, materials and equipment to upgrade the computer wiring at the two Auxiliary Services facilities, 995 W. Beardsley Place, Salt Lake City Utah per the specifications, terms and conditions contained herein.  


BIDDERS MUST be SIEMON certified under the Siemon Certified Installer (
CI

SM
) Program.  Bidders must also have worked satisfactorily for a minimum of five (5) years on equipment of this type and size, and must have
locally-based service personnel--factory trained to install the equipment/materials specified.


Contractor will be required to complete contract performance stated
herein, regardless of any other work load, including other government projects awarded to the supplier.


All questions must be submitted in writing on BidSync.  Questions asked or submitted any other way will not be answered.  Answers to all questions will be provided on BidSync.   Do not call the Salt Lake City School District (SLCSD) employees with questions.  Only questions answered on BidSync will be considered the official position of the SLCSD.

  

Any modification to this procurement effort shall be made by addendum issued by the SLCSD. Only authorized and properly issued addenda shall constitute the official and binding position of the SLCSD. Anyone submitting a response to this solicitation based on communication or information received from sources other than through official addendum, assumes full risk including the possibility of a determination of non-responsiveness and may be rejected at the sole discretion of the SLCSD. 

Contractor shall possess any applicable licenses and certifications required by DOPL, the SLCSD, or other authority.  
Proof of licensing/certifications must be provided with the bid.


Bonding is required for this project. 
A bid bond/security in the amount equal to at least 5% of the total amount of the bid is required. Bid bonds/securities may be scanned and uploaded, submitted in person or sent by mail to be received prior to the bid due date and time.  When submitting in person or by mail the bid number must be included with the bid bond. 
A 100% performance and payment bond will be required from the successful bidder prior to starting the project.

The SLCSD reserves the right to ask for references as part of any responsibility determination. 



Any additional information as may be required by the specifications may be scanned or electronically attached to the bid when placing an offer. Please contact BidSync Vendor Support for assistance in submitting your bid or uploading attachments. 


By submitting a Bid, the Bidder represents that he/she has examined, read and familiarized him/herself with the requirements of the bid documents and the conditions governing the work. 


NOTE: The SLCSD prefers bids to be submitted electronically in BidSync. To submit an electronic bid, review all attached documents and complete the required information. Upload with your bid copies of any additional documents required by the specifications.  

NOTE: Any discrepancies between documents obtained from sources outside BidSync not issued by the SLCSD will be found in favor of the documents contained in BidSync.


When submitting a bid electronically through BidSync, you must allow sufficient time to complete the online forms and upload any documents. The solicitation will end precisely at the closing date and time specified in the solicitation. If you are in the middle of uploading your documents at the closing time, the system will stop the process and your proposal will not be received by the system. 



Be sure you fill out the SLCSD IFB Form.  Failure to provide the information required on this form may result in your bid being rejected as non-responsive.

Electronic bids may require uploading of electronic attachments. BidSync's site will accept a wide variety of document types as attachments. However, the submission of documents containing embedded documents (zip files), mov, wmp, and mp3 files are prohibited. All documents should be attached as separate files.


DO NOT submit faxed or emailed bids. Only hard-copy delivered bids or bids submitted electronically in BidSync will be accepted. Bids submitted by fax or email will be rejected as non-responsive.

Added on Jan 22, 2020:Addendum # 1:

1.  Replace the original drawings (Att. E) with new drawings.  This attachment is identified as Attachment E, Amended Drawings (2).

2.  The site visit sign-in sheet is now uploaded for view on BidSync.

3.  The noted questions and answers from the site visit are:

Q1:  Can J-hooks be used in lieu of trays.
Answer:  Yes.  Contractor is responsible for successful use of J-hooks throughout the specified 20-year warranty.

Q2:  When are buildings available for work?
Answer:  6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday, except SLCSD recognized holidays.

Q3:  On the facility services building, do the block walls go all the way to the roof?
Answer:  No.  Most do not.

Q4:   Start & finish dates:
Answer:  Anticipate board approval will be on February 18, 2020.  Start date will be shortly after that date.  Completion date, including punch-list items is June 1, 2020.
