City of Salem, Downtown Sidewalk Improvements

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be received by the City of Salem, Missouri, at the Administration Building, 400 N. Iron St. until 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 2, 2024, and at 3:15 pm at City Hall, 202 N. Washington St., publicly opened and read aloud for the construction of the following: Downtown Sidewalk Improvements for the City of Salem, Missouri: The project shall include: Construction of ADA accessible sidewalks, crosswalks and street lighting. Interested parties can view plans at the City Administration Building or may contact Archer-Elgin at 573-364- 6362 for more information on how to obtain bidding documents. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at City Hall at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Each bidder must submit a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of their total bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to determine the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder, and to award the contract on that basis. The prevailing hourly rate of wages for Dent County, as determined by the Industrial Commission of Missouri, will be complied with on this project, and not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages as found by the agencies or Court of Appeals shall be paid to all workmen performing work under this contract. Contractor shall be enrolled in and participate in a federal work authorization program with respect to the employees working in connection with this project and Contractor cannot knowingly employ any person who is an unauthorized alien in connection with the contracted services set forth
