THE PURPOSE OF POSITING THIS AMENDMENT IS TO PROVIDE Q&A FOR THE ORIGINAL SOLICITATION.Q:  Would it be possible for the contractor to pick up the tapes at the Santa Cruz facility to be taken back to another facility outside of that 75 mile range? My facility is out of state.           A: Due to the scientific and historical nature of the data that is to be converted, transportation by the staff is the only acceptable means to keep the risk of loss at zero.Q.  The schedule on page 2 states 650 tapes to be converted, but the statement of work on page 44 states ~860 tapes. Can you please clarify?          A:  The correct number of tapes to be digitized is 650. Q.  What is the rough length of each tape?          A:  The length of most tapes are 60 min.  There are a few 80 min tapes included (less than 20).Q:  The government states that the library consists of tapes recorded over the past thirty years. Can more detail be provided as to what format of tapes are needing to be transferred?           A:  All the tapes to be digitized are in MiniDV format.Q. What is required if the contractor determines during the transfer process that a recorded tape or footage is not of good quality due to age or damaged content and won't transfer properly to a digital file format?          A:  None of the tapes should be corrupted, but if that happens or one breaks, we can give a replacement (for most tapes).  We believe we have a back-up copy for all tapes.  We still actively watch the MiniDV tapes.---------------------------------------------------SEE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS FOR FULL
