All bids and contracts are governed by Town of Black Mountain policy and Section 143-131 of the North Carolina General Statutes. The Town is seeking proposals to construct a sidewalk along a portion of Charlotte Street in Black Mountain. The area is adjacent to school property so care must be taken to avoid blocking traffic and safety measures followed. Sidewalk:Install approximately 360 linear feet (0.68 miles) of concrete sidewalk along the East side of Charlotte Street from Village Way to E. State Street. The sidewalk shall be 5’ wide and constructed to NCDOT and ADA design standards. The drawing at the top of page 8 shows only

a small depiction of section 848 of the NC Department of Transportation specifications for roads and structures.Sidewalk must comply with 2010 ADA standards for accessible design.
