This Request for Information (RFI) is intended to ascertain whether the services specified herein, to provide installation, training, inspection, annual maintenance of a Lightning Prediction and Warning System for Water and Wastewater Services (WWS) facilities throughout Broward County. This is not a request for pricing or a commitment to purchase.



The following services are thought to be available from only a single source and single brand.  This RFI will remain posted until the date and time indicated. Vendors should submit response electronically through BidSync.  Vendor should upload any supporting

information in BidSync to assist in determining if product or service is comparable.




Description of current equipment needed, includes but not limited to:



(a) Thor Guard, Model No. L75R

(b) Voice of Thor Base Driver, Model No. V0TBDFM12

(c) Remote Receivers, Model No. VOTRCFMS

(d) Thor Guard, Model No. L75B

(e) Voice of Thor Base Driver, Model No. V0TBD




The Vendor must provide Lightning Prediction System Model and all necessary equipment appropriate for the geographical size of each site. The Lightning Prediction System software shall have network capabilities, working on multiple County mobile devices and PCs providing mobile text and email alerts.




Prospective Vendors are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply similar commodities or contractual services described.  All Vendor responses will be evaluated by the Using Agency which will be the sole determinate power in establishing the approved equal status of the commodity or service offered by the vendor.  If it is determined in writing by the agency, after reviewing any information received from prospective Vendors, that the commodities or contractual services are available only from a sole source, a Request for Quotation will be issued to the sole source Vendor for processing and approval by the appropriate award authority.



Provide product literature for any product to assist in determining if product is comparable.
