50970 Proposal To Lease State Airport Land - Petersburg

PROPOSAL TO LEASE STATE AIRPORT LAND: The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to lease Lot 5, Block 1, consisting of approximately 22,500 square feet (ADA-50970 successive lease to ADA-50557), at Petersburg Airport for 45 years, to expire May 1, 2068. Applicant: Newrose Enterprises, LLC. Authorized uses: Aeronautical - Maintenance and operation of a hangar for the primary use of commercial air taxi, aircraft storage, commercial aircraft maintenance and repair, cargo handling and freight forwarding, and offices associated with these and other aeronautical activities. Incidental use of upstairs and/or back-office space for revenue generating non-aeronautical purposes, including coffee shop, gift shop, pilot rest area (no overnight), and other such uses as may be typically found in an airport facility. No alcoholic sales. Annual rent: $4,432.50. This is an application filed under AS 02.15.090(c), which allows the Department to grant the proposed lease without competition. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., July 1, 2023, after which the Department will determine whether or not to execute the lease.
