PUBLIC NOTICEOil Search (Alaska), LLC, Kuparuk River Unit, Gas Spur Pipeline Private Non-Exclusive EasementThe Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (Division) received an AS 38.05.850 easement application on November 16, 2022, from Oil Search (Alaska), LLC (OSA) requesting a non-exclusive private easement authorization to construct and operate the proposed Gas Spur Pipeline (GSP) project. The proposed easement will be adjudicated under AS 38.05.850. The Division is providing public notice and an opportunity to comment. Applicant: OSA (see application for contact information) Project ID: ADL 421988 Location: see application Project Description:OSA is requesting a non-exclusive easement authorization to construct and operate the proposed Gas Spur Pipeline (GSP) located within the Kuparuk River Unit in the North Slope. The GSP is a 4.9-mile-long, 12-inch diameter natural gas gathering pipeline that begins east of the Kuparuk Central Processing Facility 1
(CPF-1) and ends at the yet-to-be-constructed OSA Seawater Treatment Plant Pipelines near the Spine Road and Oliktok Road intersection. The authorization will include a 175-acre construction easement and a 60-acre operation easement. Project components located within the easement include the gas pipeline, gas pipeline supports, tie-in equipment, and gravel infrastructure. The purpose of the project is to provide fuel gas for Pikka Unit operations. Construction is anticipated to begin March 1, 2023, and end June 1, 2026. The application package is available for review at the Division’s Permitting Section, 550 West 7th Avenue, Suite 1100, Anchorage, AK 99501, or online at http://dog.dnr.alaska.gov/Newsroom.
