The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source Blanket Purchase Agreement toControl Industries Incorporated, 409 LaFayette Ave, Urbana, OH. The Federal Aviation Administration MaterialManagement Branch(AML-7070) has a requirement for NSN 5998-01-127-7253 (part number 11-0155)receiver board, NSN 5998-01-140-8898 (part number 11-0088) power supply, NSN 5998-01-570-5785 (partnumber 11-0468) decoder board, NSN 5998-01-570-5781 (part number 11-0377) timer board, and NSN 5895-01-248-2304 (part number RC-1T5A) control receiver.In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of thisannouncement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source viasingle source procedures.Control Industries Inc. is the only vendor that can provide the required circuit cards for REILS, ALFS1 and 2,VASI, SSALF, SSALR, MLFS, RRCS, MALS and MALSR Systems as they are the original manufacturer andhold the
proprietary data rights. In order to maintain standardization the cards must be procured from ControlIndustries Inc. The systems require the circuit assemblies to be the same as approved replacements on thetechnical Instruction 6850.97A of these parts that must be in order to maintain configuration management. Anydeviation from this will impact maintenance, Logistic support, and training in the National Airspace System(NAS).The proposed NAICs code for this acquisition is 336413, Other Aircraft Parts and Auxilary equipmentmanufacturing, with a size standard of 1000.This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal.
