Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, IN is conducting market researchto locate qualified, experienced, responsible and interested manufacturers of 5.56mm Special Ball, LongRange ammunition. Specification DTL-JXNN-F17-0017 REV C and the Statement of Work are bothattached to this Sources Sought for reference. Contractors must be properly registered in

the JointCertification Program (JCP) in order to receive the controlled attachments. Information about the JCP islocated at http://www.dlis.dla.mil.The Government is contemplating a 100% small business set-aside acquisition for this action so it isimperative to provide a response by the closing date with the information requested below. The NAICS forthis buy is 332992, Small Arms Ammunition Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,250 employees. Atthe current time, THERE IS NOT FUNDING AVAILABLE for contractual efforts.This sources sought announcement is part of a continuous process for obtaining the latest information onthe commercial status of the industry with respect to current and near-term abilities. Response to thissources sought announcement is strictly voluntary and will not affect any potentia l offeror’s a bility tosubmit an offer is a solicitation is released.All interested parties should reply by elaborating on its capabilities to produce the required 5.56mm SpecialBa ll, Long Ra nge ammunition to fulfill the Government’s delivery requ irements of up to 26,240,000rounds per month commencing 120 days from order.
