You are invited to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Headworks (WWTF) Rehabilitation project to present your special expertise and to substantiate your capabilities to act as a Prime Contractor with a General-A license to rehabilitate the Headworks system at the City WWTF.The City is using a two-step procurement process for selecting a Prime Contractor. In Step 1, the City will evaluate all responsive SOQs and shortlist three (3) to five (5) Prime Contractors in accordance with the rules, guidelines, and procedures set forth in this RFQ. In Step 2, the short-listed Prime Contractors will receive an Invitation For Bids to award the contract to the responsive and responsible Prime Contractor offering the lowest price.BackgroundThe City of Santa Cruz (City) operates and maintains a regional wastewater treatment and disposal facility originally built in 1928. Advanced Primary modifications were completed in 1988 and the Secondary Treatment Facility upgrade was completed in 1998.
