Complete the New Vendor Application upon direction from Purchasing or a school/department. New Vendor Application serves two purposes: 1. Provides the district with information that will be used to send bid notices through Ionwave of bid opportunities. By law, districts are required to bid commodities when the district spends more than $50,000 in a calendar year. 2. Provides vendors with information about the necessary requirements in order to do business with the district. If your firm is currently NOT on the district's approved

bid vendors list and you provide a commodity/category that must be bid, it is required to respond to a bid when offered by Plano ISD or to respond to one of the cooperative groups in which the district is a member of. Some examples of these commodities but are not limited to: Office Supplies Technology (Hardware, Software, Repair) Teaching and Instructional Materials Athletic Supplies and Equipment Maintenance Supplies,Repair and Services Playground Equipment and Repair Promotional Items, Awards, Trophies Music Supplies, Instruments and Repair Custom Printing Furniture Copy Machines Please be advised that the majority of our purchasing and vendor database is comprised of vendors awarded to a Plano ISD bid or awarded on one of the various Cooperatives. Attached is a complete list of Cooperatives the district is a member of.
