Buyer Contact: Greg Boike gboike@mg-rc.org 478-751-6160 Description: Jones County is requesting statements of qualifications from engineering firms interested in undertaking design and construction management of water and/or sewer improvements to be funded in part through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Interested parties are invited to secure an RFQ package from Greg Boike, Middle Georgia Regional Commission, 175 Emery Highway, Suite C, Macon, Georgia 31217, by calling (478) 751-6160 or emailing gboike@mg-rc.org. To be considered, all interested parties must submit their response to Greg Boike at the address listed above, no later than 12:00 noon, December 5, 2022. Proposals received after this date and time or at any other location will not be considered. This is a Section 3 contract opportunity. This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3

of the HUD Act of 1968. Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply. This project must ensure that employment and other economic opportunities generated by CDBG funds shall, to the greatest extent feasible, and consistent with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, be directed toward low and very low-income persons and to business concerns that provide economic opportunities to low and very low-income persons. This project must affirmatively further fair housing. Steps must be taken to analyze impediments to fair housing choice and overcome identified impediments. This project must also ensure that no qualified individual with a disability shall, by reason of such disability, be excluded from the participation in or be denied the benefits of services, programs, or activities of a public entity, or be subjected to discrimination of any such entity.
