Summary COUNTY OF MONO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS INVITATION FOR BIDS Bridgeport Banner Project Number 9565 Notice is hereby given that the Mono County Department of Public Works (“County”) calls for bids from qualified contractors to provide construction services for the installation of the Bridgeport Banner (“Project”). The Project will consist of demolition of existing banner poles and structure, construction of two Cast-In-Drilled-Hole (CIDH) concrete piles for new banner structure, and installation of banner steel columns, hardware, and fixtures. Additionally, demolition and reconstruction of existing facilities at the intersection of Sinclair Street and Highway 395 (northeast corner) will be included in the Project. A portion of the existing sidewalk, curb and gutter, cross gutter, and accessible ramp will be removed and realigned/relocated around the banner pile foundation at this location. The project is funded by the Clean California Program (State funded). Note, all
construction shall be completed and accepted by the County prior to June 30, 2023 to meet funding deadlines. Contractor shall begin work as soon as materials are procured and seasonal weather conditions permit. Each bid shall be made on the proposal forms contained in the Project Manual and must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of not less than 10 percent (10%) of the total bid. The complete project manual can be downloaded from the planholder document section on the bid management system. Refer to project manual for all bid submittal requirements. The Project and all work (Bid Items 1 through 11) must be completed within 30 working days from the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. All construction shall be completed and accepted prior to June 30, 2023. Bids may be mailed to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, P.O. Box 237, Bridgeport, California, 93517, or delivered to the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, 74 North School Street, Bridgeport, California. In either event, to be considered, bids must be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors no later than 3:00 pm Thursday, January 19, 2023 (“Revised Bid Submission Deadline - See Addendum 2”).
