Description

Scope of Services
The new service must be available by July 1, 2022, at all sites.
In accordance with Federal E-Rate funding requirements, Santa Maria-Bonita School District (SMBSD) wishes to compare Lit Services and Leased Dark Fiber services for their District Wide Area Network (WAN). This RFP requires connecting 20 school sites to the SMBSD School District Office star network topology WAN as individual spokes of the enterprise hub and is an E-RATE Program.

Other Details
SMBSD is seeking two (2) options for this RFP. Proposers may provide pricing on either OR both options. The first option is a fully managed, Lit Fiber service WAN. The second option is for a Leased Dark Fiber solution that includes special construction cost, the monthly lease fee, as well as any reoccurring maintenance, and operational fees. E-Rate requires district Bid Lit Service as an option for cost comparison reasons.
Based on the RFP scoring criteria (and both a short-term and long-term cost-effectiveness analysis), SMBSD will determine which, if any, of the solutions is acceptable.
