Each year the agency registers approximately 25 million vehicles. Most types of Texas annual vehicle registrations receive a decal form upon obtaining or renewing registration. Registration information is printed on the decal form on demand by either a county tax office or by a business acting as a deputy of the county. Most registered vehicles display either a windshield or license plate decal as proof of current registration.
