NOTICE OF INTENT CINCOM RENEWAL

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Cincom Systems Inc., 55 Merchant Street, Cincinnati, OH 45246-3771 for maintenance and upgrades for Cincom's software products under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.SSA intends to establish a firm, fixed-price contract. The Cincom Systems Inc. includes ID Text ID Spell Fault. This software is critical for the execution of production and test programs used to conduct daily data processing requirements at the National Support Center (NSC), the Second Support Center (SSC) and any data processing center SSA may have in the future. This software is stored on a mainframe, and accessed through Customer Information Control System (CICS) screens. Cincom software is supported by CICS online regions. It processes over one hundred batch jobs per night. This software has been customized to meet the

needs of SSA.Cincom is the only known source to the Government that is capable of providing software licensing and maintenance support for these proprietary software products. The period of performance shall be for one base year and four one-year option periods.A solicitation is NOT available. Therefore, written and/or verbal requests for copies of a solicitation related to this announcement will not be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
