This is a Request for Information (RFI) to conduct market research to determine the availability of vendors capable of providing the requirement listed below. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a RFQ or a promise to issue a RFQ in the future. This request does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is not, at this time, seeking quotes and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested vendor's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.

BACKGROUND
The contractor must be capable of providing maintenance, repair and replacement paging system parts 24 hours per day 7 days a week to include holidays and weekends. When notified by the government, the contractor must be able to arrive on-site for repair work within 2 hours of notification. Contractor does not have to be OEM certified technician. VA is searching for a 3rd party maintenance plan that has the capability and experience of maintaining the following radio paging system.
SCOPE OF WORK
The contractor shall provide maintenance, repair and replacement of all radio paging system parts:
Zetron 2100 Paging Terminals 4 each
Dual Telco Cards 6 each Radio Station Cards 2 each
ADPCM Voice Controllers 2 each 2-Port Serial Cards 2 each
TNPP Cards 2 each
Model 66 Controllers 4 each Model 620s 2 each
Networked Z-Base Software 1 each PT4F 250W Transmitter P/AMP 1 each
PT4F 250W Transmitters 2 each
PT4F 100W Transmitters 2 each
PERFORMANCE DETAILS

The contractor shall provide maintenance, repair and replacement of all radio paging system components at the below locations:

Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center 1601 SW Archer Rd
Gainesville, FL 32608

Lake City VA Medical Center 619 S. Marion Ave
Lake City, FL 32025


PERFORMANCE PERIOD

The Contractor must provide service from 12 months from date of award (base year) with four 1-year option periods. Any work at the Government site shall not take place on Federal holidays or weekends unless directed by the Contracting Officer (CO).

There are ten (10) Federal holidays set by law (USC Title 5 Section 6103) that VA follows:

Under current definitions, four are set by date:

New Year's Day January 1
Independence Day July 4
Veterans Day November 11
Christmas Day December 25

If any of the above falls on a Saturday, then Friday shall be observed as a holiday. Similarly, if one falls on a Sunday, then Monday shall be observed as a holiday.

The other six are set by a day of the week and month:

Martin Luther King's Birthday Third Monday in January
Washington's Birthday Third Monday in February
Memorial Day Last Monday in May
Labor Day First Monday in September
Columbus Day Second Monday in October
Thanksgiving Fourth Thursday in November
