Added: Dec 12, 2017 11:51 am FY18 Drydock Repairs to NOAA Ship THOMAS JEFFERSON The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Region Acquisition Division, Norfolk, VA, on behalf of the Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO), intends to solicit for drydock repairs to NOAA Ship THOMAS JEFFERSON. The THOMAS JEFFERSON is 208 feet long overall, and its home port is Norfolk, VA. Provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform the following (including, but not limited to): BASE ITEMS: Temporary Services Dry Docking Tunnel Thruster Servicing The solicitation will include a liquidated damages clause, as well as a requirement for bid, performance and payment bonds. The performance period will be approximately 5 calendar days, with a start date on or about February 26, 2018 and a completion date on or about March 2, 2018. Place of performance is scheduled to be at the Contractor’s Facility. Ship’s transit time to and from the place
of performance is not included in the specified performance period. Information pertaining to a ship inspection at the ship’s homeport will be addressed in the solicitation. The acquisition will be issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with FAR Part 15. The RFP will be issued on or about December 21, 2017 with proposals due on or about January 22, 2018. The anticipated award date is on or about February 1, 2018. This procurement is unrestricted; all responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price contract to the contractor whose proposal represents the best value considering price and non-price factors. The RFP will be issued via electronic posting on the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) web page www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the RFP will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor FBO for the release of the RFP, specifications, drawings and all subsequent amendments. The specification will be uploaded to www.fbo.gov with the RFP. Prospective offerors who are interested in submitting a proposal for this acquisition are encouraged to register with the FBO Vendor Notification Service and to be on the Interested Vendors List for this acquisition (see applicable tab within FBO where this synopsis is posted).
