This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number 36C24822Q1199 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) in conjunction with FAR -- Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and constitutes the only solicitation. The Government intends to award a single Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) award contract. The provisions and clauses in this document are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-06, April 26, 2022. This solicitation intends to award a contract to a SDVOSB/VOSB business associated with NAICS Code 339112 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The Miami VA Medical Center has a requirement for Slit Lamp Cameras that are Brand Name or Equal to the items below. Listed below are the standard (or equal) items

Salient Characteristics Minimum Requirements: The equipment shall have the following features and characteristics or shall be equal to: An integrated flash, fully synchronized with camera and slit and background illumination. Camera must be mounted above the microscope, allowing ease of access to patient. A high-power flash illumination delivered via a xenon tube that lies coaxially to the LED illumination. Brightness of flash must be individually adjustable for slit and background illumination. Mirror housing with its built-in diaphragms. Shutter release mounted close to the operator s hand. Blue, red-free and Grey (neutral density) filters Slit width of 0-8 millimeters Slit length of 1-8 millimeters Test mark fixation star Microscope stereo angle 13 degrees Magnification eye pieces of 6.3x, 10x, 16x, 25x and 40x DSLR camera connector Windows 10 Offeror quotations must demonstrate meeting the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristic specified in this solicitation, otherwise it will be considered non-responsive. The information identified and provided is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality that will be satisfactory. The interested parties bear full responsibility to ensure their submission demonstrates to the government that they can provide the supplies being requested. Only new equipment is acceptable; no remanufactured, used/refurbished or "gray market" items. No product in development shall be considered. All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
