REFERENCE NUMBER: 147452615 Solicitation Title: Notice of Intent to Award a Single Source Contract -- Television Broadcast Services Purchasing Agency: Minnesota State University, Mankato Intent to Award to the following vendor: Bethany Lutheran College – Mankato, MN Notes: Notes: The work to be performed is summarized as follows: Provide television broadcast services, ancillary and miscellaneous production for Minnesota State University, Mankato hockey programs for the 2021-2022 season. Work to include: Hockey game production; Hype videos for marketing; Video board production; Digital content and end of year videos; and Equipment rental fees to insure quality broadcast and meet league minimum production standards. Executive and Coordinating Producer services as well as qualified staff for broadcasted games and additional services. Bethany Lutheran College is qualified to provide these services as required by the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) and the Western Collegiate

Hockey Association (WCHA), the governing body for the MSU, Mankato men's and women's hockey programs. The home game facility is pre-wired to be compatible with the vendor's existing equipment. The vendor owns much of the equipment that is located in the facility required to produce game broadcasts and to program the arena video board. Additionally, the vendor has the personnel in numbers and specific knowledge to produce the necessary broadcast components. The vendor has a very strong broadcast communications academic program, and we have established a mutually beneficial working relationship with them. Market research has shown that it is logistically difficult and cost prohibitive for a regional or national broadcast production vendor to produce these events for broadcast. We anticipate the contract to be for one (1) year for the 2021-2022 hockey season. The anticipated total contract amount is prorated based on services provided and estimated not to exceed $146,000.
