Removal and installation of equipment

This is a sources sought notice prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not be issued.Solicitation # N4523A18RC13381 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ).The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-96 dated 6 November 2017.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 811310 (Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment {except Automotive and Electronic} Repair and Maintenance), with a Business Size Standard of $7,500,000.00.  The Product Service Code Class is N034 (Installation of Equipment - Metalworking Machinery).Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF), Bremerton WA intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source, firm-fixed-price purchase order with

Pauley Rodine Inc dba American Machines.  The procurement is for removal and installation of rails and front work supports on the Cincinnati 400-ton press brake supports.  There is only one responsible source and no other requirement will satisfy the needs of the Government.  It was determined that American Machines is the Cincinnati dealer on the west coast for this work.  They have direct knowledge of this equipment and installed the new equipment when it was delivered.  American Machines is the Cincinnati Representative / Distributor who provided the equipment and installed the machine in accordance with Cincinnati drawings. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement. The Government plans to award a contract for this requirement on 02/27/2018.This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 6.305 to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining the status of the market place for future procurements.
