The project consists of constructing a new 19,801 square foot Event Center with a LEED Gold Certification by USGBC, surface parking lots, children�s play areas, children�s splash pad, picnic areas, seating areas, exercise course, pedestrian walkways, planting and irrigation, lighting, signage, lake improvements, stormwater treatment, utilities and related improvements. Mandatory minimum requirements for Bidder Qualifications & Attestation:
As a threshold requirement for consideration for contract award to Bidder/Proposer:
The General contractor shall have completed within the last 10 years preceding the bid start date:
1) At least two ground up new construction of civic, community/publicly oriented type buildings, OR substantial gut rehabilitation/renovation of two civic, community/publicly oriented type buildings, OR a combination thereof. Each of these projects shall be located within California, each will have a total hard cost value in excess of $14 million dollars, and each with a total of 18,000 square feet or greater. Each of the two qualifying projects shall have included at least three of the following items: low voltage systems, interior acoustical treatments, custom millwork, relocation or construction of architectural and/or structural walls, fire sprinklers, solar photo voltaic panels, methane venting system, new finishes (carpet, tile, paint), and/or utility feeds.
2) At least one of the minimum two qualifying projects identified above (#1) must have achieved a Leadership in Energy and Environment Design Gold certification or higher issued by the US Green Building Council prior to this bid submittal.
3) At least one project, which included 20 acres of new or renovated drought tolerant landscaping.
4) At least one project, which was constructed on a brownfield site.
5) At least one project, which included constructing a new lake or renovating an existing lake with a new planted edge.
6) At least one project, which included constructing a stormwater capture and recycling system.
Failure to provide complete information in response to the foregoing minimum requirements shall render the bid non-responsive. Failure to meet the foregoing requirements shall result in disqualification of the bid for failure to meet the mandatory minimum requirements of the bid. However, the Commission, in its sole discretion, may determine, based upon the information submitted, whether the bidder meets the requirements set forth above.
