Sections 1, 2, 3, 10, 11 of F006S012W REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW) has received a land use permit application from Mike Foster for summer cross country travel of a Komatsu PC20-6 excavator from the Nenana-Totachaket Public Access Road to his private parcel on Dune Lake. The applicant proposes to make a single, approximately 18-mile outbound trip. Travel would probably be in June once the ground hardens and follow existing trails in the area. The excavator weighs roughly 5,000 lbs.
Approximately 40 gallons of diesel as well as hydraulic oil would be transported within the excavator. If approved, DMLW will issue a decision allowing a 5-year term to accommodate unforeseen conditions which might prohibit travel this summer.REQUESTED TERM: 1 year
