REQUEST FOR PROPOSALSPublishing and Distributing Brown Deer MagazineVILLAGE OF BROWN DEER, WIProject SummaryThe Village of Brown Deer is posting a request for proposals for creating, publishing, printing, and distributing the Brown Deer magazine. The desired service agreement is for a 3-year term (2024-2026) with an option for a two-year extension.The Brown Deer magazine is currently published three times a year; although, the frequency of issues is currently being evaluated. The Village of Brown Deer manages the contract. The School District of Brown Deer is an equal partner in the publication of the magazine as they contribute evenly with content and necessary expenses. The magazine not only strives to publish content regarding the Village (police, public works, finance, clerk/elections, parks and recreation, library, planning/zoning, court, fire, and health) and School District news, but it focuses on ways to promote businesses and featured content on community members in Brown

Deer. The goal for the magazine is to be 32-44 pages depending on advertising and content available for the issue. The firm selected to create and publish the magazine should work with vendors to print and mail out the magazine on behalf of the Village and the School District. Content is provided by the Village and the School District. Photographs and images used in the magazine shall be produced by the selected firm unless a specific photograph or image is provided by the Brown Deer entities. The magazine is to be mailed to all Brown Deer residents and businesses. Additional copies shall be made available to the Brown Deer entities and made available electronically online. Proposals are expected to have for advertising revenue to pay for the majority or all the publishing and mailing magazine costs. Each entity has a staff person dedicated to communications who will serve as the direct contact for the Brown Deer Magazine.
