The City of Davis is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide Professional On-Call Landscape Architect and Design Services performed in accordance with the standards of the profession. The City of Davis updated its Facilities Master Plan in 2012. The Parks and Community Services Department is in the process of conducting a Community Needs Assessment and updating the Facilities Plan FY 2024-2025. The City has a

multitude of projects addressing deferred maintenance of existing parks and greenbelts, while also desiring to expand and enhance current amenities and recreational facilities. The City also desires to implement such projects with a key emphasis on being environmentally and fiscally sustainable. The City also has open space areas in need of habitat restoration or additional signage, including branding, locational, site-specific and interpretive signage. In 2021, the City updated an On-Call Master List of Landscape Architects, which consists of ten professional firms. This augmentation of staff has been successful in assisting the City completes more work than with City staff alone. The City is now in the process of updating an approved Landscape Architects On-Call Master List for implementation of future projects that may range from small landscape rehabilitations and park playground renovations to large turf reductions citywide.
